mountain breaking through the clouds
This is gorgeous! I thought it was coming from snow or something…but clouds? Absolutely stunning (:
If you’re gonna be two-faced, at least make one of them pretty.
Two years ago, I fell in love for the very first time. I was fifteen years old, John was sixteen. I met him in school, and never, EVER thought he would date a freshman. But we met at the mall, somehow we ended up in the same group for a movie. We sat next to each other and texted the whole time, and halfway through he looked at me and without hesitation, he kissed me. It was perfect. We kissed throughout the whole movie, getting hotter and heavier as it went on. The movie ended and we said goodbye and promised to keep in touch. For the next year, we were together all the time, but he never badgered me for sex. We were fine with how we were.
One night, we went to the carnival and had a blast. It was 11 P.M. adn we were just about the only ones there. The ferris wheel had stopped our cart all the way at the top, and told us we could stay up there for a while if we wanted, because they had to clean out a cart where a little kid threw up. We agreed and started making out. This time was different, we knew it was the right time. I lost my virginity on Cart #17. It was the perfect night.
Around 1 AM we were driving home. The stoplight had just turned green and John stepped on the gas as we sang along to the radio and held hands. A second later, a drunk truck driver driving the wrong way hit the front of our car. We were both flung forward, hitting our heads. With my last breath I whispered how much I loved him and he said it back. 8 seconds after we’d been laughing and singing, John was dead. Our little car was nothing compared to the tracter trailor, and the truck had driven up the front and onto us. I was pinned under my seat, and John was squished between the steering wheel and the truck’s wheels. I sat there for twenty minutes just looking at my love’s dead, mangled body. I was rescued, escaping with just a concussion and a few broken bones. I shouldn’t have lived, but I did.
I miss him so much, and it’s been exactly one year since the horrific night. My family and his family sued the driver for 3 Mil, but money can never replace him.
